Free tool · Speed to Lead

How long does a new enquiry actually wait?

Every business believes it replies quickly. Almost none has measured it. This does, end to end, on your own live form, with your real routing, your real autoresponder and your real inbox in the loop. You get a unique test address, you submit it on your own form the way a customer would, and the clock stops the moment anything replies. No guesswork, no self-reporting, and nothing for you to install.

Run the test

Two steps, one honest number.

Press start and we generate a one-off address. Put that address into the email field of your own contact, quote or booking form and submit it as a prospect would. Whatever replies first, an autoresponder or a person, stops the clock.

We never submit anything to your form, you do, so the test goes through your real path. We store only the test address, the start time and the reply time; no message body is kept, and the test is deleted after 48 hours. Want the gap closed rather than measured? Talk to us.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

No, and we will not build that. A tool that posts a test submission to any URL you type is a form-spam cannon aimed at whatever domain someone enters, and the receiving business cannot tell it from an attack. You submit the test yourself, which also means it travels your real path, your real form, routing, CRM and autoresponder.

The time between the moment you start the timer and the moment the first email arrives at the unique test address. That is your speed to first reply. If the first reply is an autoresponder, your human response time is longer, run it again and ignore the autoresponder to find out by how much.

That is a result, and usually the most important one. The test stays open for 48 hours; if nothing arrives, either no reply was ever sent or it went somewhere the prospect would never see. Both are worth knowing.

No. The inbound webhook is authenticated with Mailgun's HMAC signature, so a reply cannot be forged by anyone who guesses the URL, and each test address is a random 128-bit token. A result you did not trigger cannot be written.

The test address, the start time, the reply time, and a truncated sender and subject line so you can see what replied. No message body is ever kept, and the whole record is deleted after 48 hours.

Because an enquiry is usually not exclusive. A buyer who filled in your form very often filled in two or three others, and attention decays fast. Whoever replies while they are still looking at the screen has an advantage that no amount of extra ad spend buys back.
