Free tool · Local Rank Grid

You are not one rank. You are a map.

The Google local pack is built from the searcher’s coordinates, so a single rank number for a whole city tells you almost nothing. Most businesses are first at their own front door and gone two miles away. This runs the same search from a grid of points around your location and shows you exactly where you hold the top three, where you slip, and where you disappear, which is the difference between a listing that generates calls and one that only looks good from the office.

Run the grid

One search term, every corner of your area.

Paste your Google Maps link so we know where the centre is, enter your business name exactly as Google shows it, and pick how wide to look. Every square is a real search run from that point.

Paste a Google Maps link for your business, or type latitude, longitude.

Your key is used for this one run and never stored, logged, or written to your browser’s storage. Searches are run through your own provider account, so the results are yours and nothing is scraped from Google. Want the weak cells fixed rather than measured? Talk to us.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Because there is no single local rank. Google builds the local pack from the searcher's coordinates, so your position changes street by street. One check tells you your rank at one point, usually the point you are standing on, which is your best-case result.

Because getting a local pack for a specific set of coordinates requires a licensed SERP API, and we will not scrape Google, a scraper breaks, gets blocked, and makes your data collection our liability. Bringing your own key means the searches run through your account and the results are yours. It is the same BYOK model as every other AI tool on this site.

SerpApi and DataForSEO. DataForSEO keys are entered as login:password. Your key is used for the single run and is never stored, logged, or written to your browser's storage.

If you have it, yes. A Place ID identifies you exactly. Without one we match on your business name, which is reliable but not perfect, a directory may list you with a longer or shorter form of the name. When a Place ID is supplied and it is not in the results, we report you as not ranked there rather than guessing from names.

It is a coverage-weighted visibility figure: every point on the grid contributes, and a point where you do not appear contributes zero. That is deliberate. Averaging only the points where you already rank is how a rank grid flatters a business that is invisible across most of its own service area.

Those lookups failed at the provider. They are excluded from the maths entirely rather than counted as "not ranked", treating a failed request as a missing listing would invent a visibility problem you do not have.

Possibly, but usually not. Ranking nowhere on the grid for a term you expect to win normally points at the primary category on your Google Business Profile, an unverified or suspended listing, or a search term nobody actually uses, not at your website content.

Ranking at your door but nowhere else?
