Free tool · AI Answer Simulator

See how AI answers your buyers.

Type a question your buyers ask AI. We query each provider’s API, Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini, and Perplexity, and show the answers side by side, plus whether your brand is named, and whether it’s cited where an engine’s web-search/grounding mode returns sources. API answers can differ from the consumer apps.

What is AI Answer Simulator?

The AI Answer Simulator is a free tool that runs one buyer question through the major AI engines and shows you each engine's actual answer, whether your brand is named in it, and whether your domain is cited as a source. You bring your own API key, and it queries the engines live.

How it works

Type in a real question a buyer would ask, and the tool sends it to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity using your own API keys, then lays the responses out side by side. For each engine it flags whether your brand name appears in the answer and whether your domain shows up as a cited source, so you can see exactly where you are present, mentioned but not linked, or missing entirely.

Who it’s for

For marketers, SEO and GEO teams, and business owners who need to know what AI assistants actually tell prospects about their category. The benefit is a clear, question-by-question picture of your AI visibility, which shows where to focus content and structured-data work so you get named and cited instead of skipped when buyers ask an assistant who to use.

In practice

A managed-IT provider asks "who are the best managed IT services companies for small businesses?" and runs it through all four engines. ChatGPT and Gemini name three competitors but never the provider, Perplexity cites two competitor domains as sources, and Claude gives a generic answer with no brands at all, showing the provider precisely which engines and answers to target next.

Run the simulation

One question, every engine’s answer.

Add a Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini key to generate your brief. A Perplexity key can be added alongside for retrieval, but Perplexity alone cannot generate the brief (used once for your request, never stored). Add your brand and domain to check if you are named and cited.

Use your own API keys : used once for your request, never stored on our servers

Keys travel over HTTPS to our server, which calls each AI provider for this one request, then discards them, never logged or stored. Want this tracked for you every week? Talk to us.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Yes, the AI Answer Simulator is free to use. Because it is BYOK, any usage costs or limits come from the API account you connect.

Yes, this is a bring-your-own-key tool. Your API key is sent over HTTPS to NYFTY's server only to make the request(s) for that single run, is never logged or stored, and is discarded immediately after.

It runs the same buyer question through Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity so you can compare how each one answers. Availability may depend on the API access tied to your own key.

It shows the answer generated by each AI engine and flags whether your brand, company, or specified entity is named and whether it is cited. Use the results to spot messaging gaps, citation opportunities, and differences in how AI systems describe your market.

Named means the AI answer mentions you in the text. Cited means the answer includes or relies on a source/reference connected to you, which is especially relevant in engines that display citations like Perplexity.

AI answers can change because models are probabilistic, indexes update, retrieval sources differ, and small prompt or timing changes can affect the response. Treat the simulator as a snapshot of how these engines answered one buyer question at that moment, not a guarantee of future visibility, rankings, or citations.
